I'm Pete, nice to meet you.

I've been a designer and artist since childhood and it's become the core of who I am. I love taking things apart and putting them back together in new, simpler ways. I have been building websites since I was 10. Now, as a UX designer I get to study how users interact with a product or service, take those experiences apart and improve them. I’m also passionate about refining the design process to be lightweight and effective. I've worked with a lot of different teams and workflow styles and have cherry-picked the best of what I've observed over my 10+ year career.

I started this career in 2007 as a web designer, when web designer meant doing it all, visual, UX, UI, and front and back-end development. I was a WordPress theme developer/guru for a few years. I even used to create custom MySpace pages for hip businesses. I've seen the industry change a lot and I'm happy to have found my calling within it.

My favorite part of working as a UX designer is building something innovative and user-centered with a team and successfully delivering it. My least favorite part, meetings that run long or without an agenda.

When I'm not at my desk you can find me on a hiking trail, in the kitchen cooking up tasty vegan meals, in the gym, or at a heavy metal concert. My "side hustle" is creating large-scale mosaics using thousands of Rubik's Cubes. Check them out at buttonpresser.com.

I'm not on most social media so please message me through LinkedIn or just email me.
